At the international event ‘Unlocking the potential of an ageing workforce’, German, Latvian and Slovenian speakers presented their projects on the topic, alongside Hungarian experiences, in the policy dialogue on ageing.

Europe is experiencing profound demographic change, with the proportion of older workers doubling since 2000. This trend, coupled with the expected decline in the overall workforce, poses significant economic and social challenges.

The event discussed key policy strategies to prepare the workforce for the future, retain older workers and remove barriers to their re-employment beyond traditional retirement.
