Our cluster manager at a roundtable discussion - rethinking packaging material in green transition

On June 10, Zsolt Keresztúri, cluster manager, shared his professional expertise and experience at a roundtable discussion during the event titled the Importance of rethinking and the use of the packaging material in Green Transition.

The event was organised by Campden BRI Hungary. The company, although British-owned, operates independently in Hungary and has also been serving as the EIT Food Hub in Hungary for several years. It is a strategic partner of EIT Food, aiming to represent the needs of the domestic agri-food industry as strongly as possible on the international stage. The EIT Food Hub organized this Smart Specialization Strategy (S3)-focused event as part of the RIS initiatives, providing an ideal platform for experts and organizations that influence the agri-food sector.

In addition to our cluster manager, the roundtable featured Attila Berczeli, managing director of Campden BRI Hungary Nonprofit Ltd., Attila Vörös, managing director of the Federation of Hungarian Food Industries, and Zsuzsanna Kertész-Káldosi, environmental consultant for the Hungarian Association of the Environmental Enterprises. They shared their thoughts on topics such as the green and digital transition in Hungary, food and packaging manufacturing, ESG, and innovation with each other and the participants.

The event successfully achieved its goal of defining future development directions for the agri-food industry—especially regarding sustainability and packaging development aspects—for representatives of food and packaging producers, legislators, regulatory bodies, research and innovation organizations.
