The CIRC-UITS project is one of Europe's leading initiatives for sustainability and digitalization in the manufacturing industry, developing practical solutions that support the sustainable design, production, and recycling of electronic components. Companies can integrate these developments into their existing manufacturing processes.

Our management organization, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya (PBKIK), participates in international collaborations that offer real technological and business value to companies in the region. CIRC-UITS is one such project: PBKIK joined as a project partner.

In the CIRC-UITS project, four key electronic component groups – control units, tire pressure sensors, injection-molded electronics, and circuit boards—were implemented, including Digital Twin models optimized for sustainable eco-design and the Circularity Toolbox, which provides AI-based circularity assessment and recycling options.

The results of the project have attracted significant interest in international professional circles, including at the ELMIA Subcontractor event, where the industry relevance of the solutions received clear feedback. The partners will continue to use and develop the tools created even after the project has ended, ensuring that the impact of CIRC-UITS will be felt in the long term.
